【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60695specifiesasmall-scalelaboratoryscreeningprocedureforcomparingtherelativeburningbehaviourofspecimensmadefromplasticsandothernon-metallicmaterials,aswellastheirresistancetoburn-throughwhenexposedtoaflameignitionsourceof500Wnominalpower.Thismethodisapplicabletobothsolidmaterialsandcellularplasticmaterialshavinganapparentdensityof250kg/morgreaterwhendeterminedinaccordancewithISO845.Itdoesnotapplytothinmaterialsthatshrinkawayfromtheappliedflamewithoutigniting,forwhichISO9773shouldbeused.Thetestmethoddescribedisintendedtocharacterizematerialperformance,forexampleforquality-controlpurposes,andisnotintendedtoassessthebehaviourtofireofbuildingmaterialsorfurnishings.Itmaybeusedforthepre-selectionofamaterial,providedthatpositiveresultsareobtainedatathicknesswhichequalsthesmallestthicknessusedintheapplication.Theresultsobtainedprovidesomeinformationaboutthebehaviourofplasticmaterialsinservice,butcanneverbythemselvesassuresafeperformanceinservice.NOTETestresultsareinfluencedbymaterialcomponents,e.g.pigments,fillers,andfireretardants,andpropertiessuchasthedirectionofanisotropyandthemolecularmass.Thistestmethodprovidesaclassificationsystem(see8.4)whichmaybeusedforqualityassuranceorthepre-selectionofcomponentmaterialsofproducts.

【摘要】:TheobjectoftheseRecommendationsistorationalizethepresentationofdataonthepropertiesofplasticsmaterialsforuseinthefieldofdesignengineering.Theinformationavailableatpresentisusuallybasedontheresultsoftestsdesignedforqualitycontrolandisthereforeofrestrictedvaluetothedesigner.ForqualitycontrolpurposesithasgenerallybeensufficienttomeasureasinglevalueofagivenpropertyundercloselydefinedtestconditionsandthetestproceduresgiveninBritishandothernationalstandardsusuallyindicateonlya'singlepoint'value.Ontheotherhand,satisfactoryengineeringdesignneedstobebasedoninformationcoveringboththemagnitudeandtrendsinthepropertiesofmaterialsunderconditionssimulatingthoseexperiencedinpractice.Plasticsaremoresensitivethanmanymaterialstoenvironmentalchanges,andtheirpropertiesmayvarywidelywithtemperature,humidityandotherserviceconditions,andwithtime.Moreover,theperformanceofplasticsarticlesisusuallymarkedlyaffectedbythemethodandconditionsoftheirmanufacture.Therefore,topredicttheirlikelybehaviourinserviceitisnecessarytohavea'field'or'spectrum'ofinformationshowinghowapropertychangeswithtime,temperatureandtheotherimportantvariables.
