【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforarecycledpredilutedaqueousethyleneglycol(50volume%minimum)baseenginecoolantandrecycledpredilutedaqueouspropyleneglycol(50volume%minimum)baseenginecoolantforuseinautomobilesandlight-dutyvehicles.CommitteeD15hasdevelopedthisspecificationusingexperience,knowledgeandresearchfromrecyclingusedaqueousbaseenginecoolantandblendsofusedaqueousbaseenginecoolantandvirginglycol.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytocoolantproducedfromotherglycolsourcessuchasmedicalwaste,distillationbottoms,airplane/airportdeicersandpolyesterproductionwaste.Thisspecificationprovidesaprocedureforevaluatingenginecoolantrecyclingtechnologiesthroughtherecyclingofareferencesyntheticusedenginecoolant.Italsospecifiesthechemical,physical,andperformancerequirementsfortherecycledpredilutedaqueousglycolbaseenginecoolantthatisproducedfromthatprocedure.Whenusedwithoutfurtherdilution,thisproductfunctionseffectivelyduringbothwinterandsummer.Thismaterialisintendedtoprovideprotectionagainstfreezing,boiling,andcorrosioninautomobileorotherlight-dutyservicecoolingsystems.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareapproximateequivalentsandprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
