【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproduceshearpropertydataformaterialspecifications,researchanddevelopment,qualityassurance,andstructuraldesignandanalysis.Eitherin-planeorinterlaminarshearpropertiesmaybeevaluated,dependingupontheorientationofthematerialcoordinatesystemrelativetotheloadingaxis.Factorsthatinfluencetheshearresponseandshouldthereforebereportedincludethefollowing:material,methodsofmaterialpreparationandlay-up,specimenstackingsequence,specimenpreparation,specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,specimenalignmentandgripping,speedoftesting,timeattemperature,voidcontent,andvolumepercentreinforcement.Inanisotropicmaterials,propertiesmaybeobtainedinanyofthesixpossibleshearplanesbyorientingthetestingplaneofthespecimenwiththedesiredmaterialplane(1-2or2-1,1-3or3-1,2-3or3-2).Onlyasingleshearplanemaybeevaluatedforanygivenspecimen.Properties,inthetestdirection,whichmaybeobtainedfromthistestmethod,includethefollowing:5.2.1Shearstress/strainresponse,5.2.2Ultimatestrength,5.2.3Ultimatestrain,5.2.4Shearchordmodulusofelasticity,and5.2.5Transitionstrain.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheshearpropertiesofcompositematerialsreinforcedbyhigh-modulusfibers.Thecompositematerialsarelimitedtocontinuous-fiberordiscontinuous-fiber-reinforcedcompositesinthefollowingmaterialforms:1.1.1Laminatescomposedonlyofunidirectionalfibrouslaminae,withthefiberdirectionorientedeitherparallelorperpendiculartotheloadingaxis.1.1.2Laminatescomposedonlyofwovenfabricfilamentarylaminaewiththewarpdirectionorientedeitherparallelorperpendiculartotheloadingaxis.1.1.3Laminatescomposedonlyofunidirectionalfibrouslaminae,containingequalnumbersofpliesorientedat0and90inabalancedandsymmetricstackingsequence,withthe0directionorientedeitherparallelorperpendiculartotheloadingaxis.1.1.4Short-fiber-reinforcedcompositeswithamajorityofthefibersbeingrandomlydistributed.Note1Thissheartestconceptwasoriginallydevelopedwithoutreferencetofiberdirectionforuseonisotropicmaterialssuchasmetalsorceramics.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetexttheinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
