【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesasimplemeansofcharacterizingthecurebehaviorofthermosettingresinsusingverysmallamountsofmaterial(fewerthan3to5g).Thedataobtainedmaybeusedforqualitycontrol,researchanddevelopment,andestablishmentofoptimumprocessingconditions.Dynamicmechanicaltestingprovidesasensitivemethodfordeterminingcurecharacteristicsbymeasuringtheelasticandlossmoduliasafunctionoftemperatureortime,orboth.Plotsofcurebehaviorandtandeltaofamaterialversustimeprovidegraphicalrepresentationindicativeofcurebehaviorunderaspecifiedtime-temperatureprofile.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoassessthefollowing:Curebehavior,includingrateofcure,gel,andcuretime.Processingbehavior,aswellaschangesasafunctionoftime/temperature.Note38212;Thepresenceofthesubstratepreventsanabsolutemeasure,butallowsrelativemeasuresofflowbehaviorduringcure.Theeffectsofprocessingtreatment.Relativeresinbehavioralproperties,includingcurebehavioranddamping.Theeffectsofsubstratetypesoncure.Note48212;Duetotherigidityofasupportingbraid,thegeltimeobtainedfromdynamicmechanicaltraceswillbelongerthanactualgeltimeoftheunsupportedresinmeasuredatthesamefrequency.Thisdifferencewillbegreaterforcompositeshavinggreatersupport-to-polymerrigidityratios.Effectsofformulationadditivesthatmightaffectprocessabilityorperformance.Formanymaterials,theremaybeaspecificationthatrequirestheuseofthistestmethod,butwithsomeproceduralmodificationsthattakeprecedencewhenadheringtothespecification.Therefore,itisadvisabletorefertothatmaterialspecificationbeforeusingthistestmethod.Table1ofClassificationSystemD4000liststheASTMmaterialsstandardsthatcurrentlyexist.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofdynamic-mechanical-oscillationinstrumentationforgatheringandreportingthethermaladvancementofcurebehaviorofthermosettingresin.Itmaybeusedfordeterminingthecurepropertiesofbothunsupportedresinsandresinssupportedonsubstratessubjectedtovariousoscillatorydeformations.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedtoprovideameansfordeterminingthecurebehaviorofsupportedandunsupportedthermosettingresinsoverarangeoftemperaturesbyfreevibrationaswellasresonantandnonresonantforced-vibrationtechniques,inaccordancewithPracticeD4065.Plotsofmodulus,tandelta,anddampingindexasafunctionoftime/temperatureareindicativeofthethermaladvancementorcurecharacteristicsofaresin.1.3Thistestmethodisvalidforawiderangeoffrequencies,typicallyfrom0.01to100Hz.However,itisstronglyrecommendedthatlow-frequencytestconditions,generallybelow1.5Hz,beutilizedastheygenerallywillresultinmoredefinitivecure-behaviorinformation.1.4Thistestmethodisintendedforresin/substratecompositesthathaveanuncuredeffectiveelasticmodulusinsheargreaterthan0.5MPa.1.5Apparentdiscrepanciesmayariseinresultsobtainedunderdifferingexperimentalconditions.Theseapparentdifferencesfromresultsobservedinanotherstudycanusuallybereconciled,withoutchangingtheobserveddata,byreportinginfull(asdescribedinthistestmethod)theconditionsunderwhichthedatawereobtained.1.6Duetopossibleinstrumentationcompliance,especiallyinthecompressivemode,thedatageneratedmayindicaterelativeandnotnecessarilyabsolutepropertyvalues.1.7Testdataobtainedbythistestmethodarerelevantandappropriateforuseinengi......
