【摘要】:Thisspecificationdescribesthemanufacturingrequirementsforsprayshieldstockandthefabricationandinstallationrequirementsforsprayshieldsmadefromthatstock.Sections2-14addressthemanufacturingrequirementsforthesprayshieldstock.AnnexA1addressesthefabricationandinstallationrequirementsforthesprayshields.Fig.1showsthetypicalconstructionofasprayshield.Figs.2-6showmethodsofinstallationofasprayshieldonvariousmechanicaljoints.Theshieldsareintendedforusearoundmechanicaljoints(flanged,boltedunions,andsoforth)inliquidpipingsystemstopreventtheimpingementofflammableliquidonhotsurfacesorfluidsontoelectricalswitchboardsandcomponentsresultingfromaleakinthemechanicaljoint.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
